Tell us about yourself and your family

I have been in Estate Agency for 25 years ever since leaving University. I have worked for both corporate and independent estate agencies during my career covering a variety of jobs including working in sales, lettings, block management and as an energy assessor. In current role as Sales progression Manager for Iles & Jenkin I work remotely from our home in Barry, Mid Glamorgan, where I live with my partner Emma and our baby daughter Imogen, who is just ten months old.

What attracted you to Estate Agency?

I was attracted to estate agency following a period of work experience in an Estate Agency in Yorkshire while I was at Secondary School. I liked the fact that no two days were the same and that you never knew what the day would bring. I also liked the fact that it combined both in an office and being out and about.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

As the father of a new baby daughter, I have discovered that I do not have any spare time! However, prior to Fatherhood, weekends were spent watching motorsports and passionately supporting my team, Arsenal Football Club.

Who is your role model? Why?

I have never really had any role models, but one person that I have always admired after meeting him in person iss Phil Hill, the 1961 Formula One world champion who I met at the Goodwood Festival of Speed a few years ago. I didn’t realise who was I was chatting with at the time, as he was just casually sat by his car, but he was a genuinely lovely gentleman. I had a great conversation with him about all things motorsport and only found out who he was afterwards when my Dad pointed it out to me!

Tell us something about yourself that’s not on your CV.

Back in 2005 I was the co-driver with a friend of mine in a Mark II Escort. We entered a few motor sport rallies including the 2005 Rally Dieppe in France. It was a baptism of fire involving translating the route book from French into English and liaising with all the officials. My French isn’t the best, and it probably caused us a few problems along the way, but never the less it was great fun!
